In a day full of meaningful experiences, KIPCO held its Open Day on Failaka Island under the theme "Sailing as One," bringing together employees and their families for an engaging event that combined entertainment, exploration, and team spirit.
From the start at Marina Crescent to the return in the evening, the event was well-organized and filled with positive energy. The ferry ride set the tone with cheerful conversations and anticipation, leading into a day of diverse and enjoyable activities on the island.
In his comments, Mr. Meshari Al-Duhaim, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations at KIPCO and the event organizer, stated:
"Our Open Day on Failaka Island was not just an event; it was a celebration of unity and teamwork. 'Sailing as One' embodies our commitment to fostering connections among our employees and their families, creating lasting memories and strengthening our corporate culture."
Group games for all ages fostered teamwork and camaraderie through friendly challenges, strengthening bonds among colleagues.
A key contributor to the success of this event was IKARUS, the operator of the Heritage Village on Failaka Island. Their role in managing logistics, transportation, and on-site hospitality was instrumental. Through careful preparation of the facilities and smooth coordination throughout the day, IKARUS ensured a high-quality and seamless experience for all attendees.
Bird shows captivated audiences, showcasing the intelligence, agility, and beauty of various species and parrots' tricks.
This initiative was part of KIPCO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen internal culture and promote a sense of belonging and collaboration among its teams. The presence of families added warmth to the experience, reflecting the importance of connection and community in the workplace.
By the end of the day, participants left the island with lasting memories and a renewed sense of unity, embodying the spirit of working together as one team.
A guided cultural tour of Failaka enriched participants' understanding of local heritage through stories and insights from knowledgeable guides.
